Banbury Armed Forces Day 2024

Those of you who engage with us and are interested in Britain’s Armed Forces may already be aware that the last Saturday in June is Armed Forces Day. It is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.

Army Cadet Force (ACF), Air Cadets and Banbury’s Army Reserve personnel gather for a photo.

Saturday 29th June this year was no exception, and as with previous years, 136 Squadron joined with our neighbouring unit of 1460 (Banbury) Squadron at the Banbury Town Council-organised event in their historic market square. The event included a marching procession for review by the Town Mayor followed by a short service in the town square with trade stands and exhibitions from attending units and organisation.

Representing 136 Squadron this year was Cdt Knight and Cpl Daniel supported by FS (RAFAC) Rillie.
